Mr. Piyush Singh

Piyush is the founder-cum-president of KARNA Inc. KARNA had been Piyush's passion for a long time that finally came to fruition in September of 1999. His vision is to take an active role in giving back to the community and not just limit oneself to theoretical dinner discussions which end with the dessert. The organization was founded to provide a vehicle to concerned citizens to give back to the community through the services of a volunteer-based, professionally-run organization. Accountability and a high level of integrity are the two pillars of the organization. To keep the lights on in the house Piyush has a day job as an Executive with a large mid-west based insurance company. He lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with his wife Sangeeta and two sons Abhimanyu and Aditya.

Helen J Young

Helen has been a guiding spirit in setting up of KARNA Inc. A graduate from Bradley University in Peoria she has been involved in charitable and not-for profit activities right from the get go in her career. Having been listed in the Outstanding Young Women of America she has been actively involved with Bradley University as part of Alumni Association, Council of Advisors, Chiefs Club, Centennial Steering Committee and Centennial Campaign; Junior League of Peoria; Friends of Friedrichshafen (sister city of Peoria); Peoria Area Community Foundation; Heart of Illinois United Way; Christmas in April*Peoria; Peoria Ballet and Illinois Central College. She is also a current Board Member of CEFCU. Helen’s involvement has been that of active participation, as well as taking on leadership and strategic responsibilities with these organizations. To sustain all the time and financial contributions that she makes to voluntary organizations, Helen run her own consultancy on Corporate and Investment Tax related matters for the Insurance industry.

Jon Lindberg

Jon received a BA in Political Science from North Park University, with Honors and went on then, through early admission to the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business where he received a specialization in Finance and a concentration in Accounting. He then joined Proctor & Gamble's finance organization where he worked for two years before leaving to start his own company: Yohan, Incorporated. He ran Yohan successfully for two years before passing on the day to day operation to his management team and continued to successfully supervise the operation for another four years from a distance. Jon was recruited away from the day to day operations of Yohan's and asked to start up and be the President of the US operations for Frango, which is an international, financial accounting software company based in Sweden. After working for two years and having successfully led the CEO down the investment banking path towards going public, Jon worked as an Association Executive in one of the world’s largest professional management company for full service not-for-profit clients. Currently Jon works as a Senior Executive running a professional management company. Jon and his wife nancy reside in Virginia with their son Yohan.

Three other silent Board members contribute to the KARNA mission in their own small way. They prefer to remain silent members at this point of time
